Wherever you ssh, your files follow.

ssh into an internal machine from the terminal and the file manager beside it switches over automatically — no second SFTP connection to set up. Free, open source, no sign-up.

macOS · Windows · Linux — one app, no license key.

Every pill above is confirmed, not inferred — Shellium opened each hop itself by running the ssh command, rather than guessing your location from terminal output.

Inside the app

Hosts, terminal and remote files in one window.

Here the terminal has hopped from the bastion to app-server. The file pane on the right switched over on its own and is already showing the directory the shell is in.

Features

Everything a terminal needs, none of what it doesn't.

Shellium is a single Qt/C++ application — the terminal, the file manager, and the credential vault all read the same connection state, so they never disagree about where you are.

❯_

A real terminal underneath

Built on libvterm, not a text widget pretending to be one. 256-color and true-color, full alt-screen for vim and top, correctly rendered wide CJK glyphs, and deep scrollback — with a native PTY on macOS and Linux, and ConPTY on Windows.

⇄

Files that follow the hop you're on

Shellium's session stack tracks every server you ssh into, so the file pane auto-follows the machine you're actually on — not a guess parsed from a prompt string.

⎇

Jump hosts you can see

Draw out bastion → internal → database chains, inherit connection settings down the tree, and import your existing hosts straight from an OpenSSH config.

▣

A vault that stays on your machine

Passwords and keys are sealed with Argon2id and XChaCha20-Poly1305 behind one master password, with idle auto-lock. Generate Ed25519, RSA, or ECDSA keys without leaving the app.

↦

Tunnels you can see are alive

Local, remote, and dynamic (-L / -R / -D) port forwarding with saved rules and live traffic stats — no separate terminal tab required.

▦

Built for daily driving

Snippets, command history, a command palette, and broadcasting one line across every open host at once — so you reach for a menu less, not more.

◆

Native, not a web page in a box

Written in C++20 on Qt 6 and compiled natively for each platform — no Electron, no bundled Chromium, no JavaScript runtime. It starts fast, stays responsive, and every keystroke goes straight to the terminal.

▁▃

Light on memory

No browser engine means no renderer process per window. Shellium runs as a single process, and each extra tab costs only its own terminal buffer and scrollback — keep a dozen sessions open alongside your editor and browser.

Theming

Themes that don't lie to your prompt.

Every Shellium theme ships a full 16-color ANSI table, not just a background and a foreground. What git diff renders in red stays legible in every theme.

One app, built natively for each desktop.

Shellium ships as a real Qt application on every platform — not a bundled browser.
